One would be hard-pressed to find a more magnificent landscape composed of mountain (山) and water (水) than right here in Qingdao. Home to China’s largest seaside mountain, Laoshan, limitless opportunities for outdoor adventures abound.
While the pink granite peaks of Laoshan lie to the east of the city-center, the ethereal, red-roofed ‘Old-Town’ is found on the western edge of the peninsula. Nestled in rolling hills, the early 20th century Bavarian architecture and cobblestone alleyways of this former German concession are some of the most well-preserved and remarkable colonial remnants found in China.
We invite you to enjoy the many outdoor adventures and cultural resources this magnificent city has to offer, whether it be:
-hiking to the top of Laoshan (the spring water source of China’s most world-renowned beer, Tsingtao) for fresh, organic vegetables, tea and barbeque |
